School Psychology Internship
Requirements for Consideration:
Completion of all university coursework and practicum experiences leading to a Master’s degree in School Psychology. Practicum experiences that include some independent completion of psycho-educational evaluations, Functional Behavior Assessments, and case organization/ management. Experience with a wide range of services to include: conducting comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, MET meeting facilitation, implementation and monitoring of evidence-based behavioral and academic interventions as well as effective communication, collaboration and consultation with school administration, families and teachers.
Learning Opportunities Provided:
In a kindergarten through 8th-grade setting experiences will include: supporting students’ learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health using problem-solving, assessment, data-based decision-making, and the delivery of evidence-based interventions. Collaboration and consultation with educators, families, and other professionals to help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students as well as opportunities to support RTI initiatives. Professional development on various topics, collaboration with other professional school psychologists, as well as the exploration of personal areas of interest, as appropriate.
Ongoing supervision will be provided by the district's lead school psychologist and is designed to meet specific university requirements and individual needs.
This position is a 1-year contract, with benefits.
