Job Description

                                                  COORDINATOR FOR EMPLOYEE DAYCARE

JOB GOAL:  To lead and plan for an employee daycare; to support, oversee and assure all the functions, licensing, responsibilities, communication, budget management, hiring and coordinating staff assignments. 


  • Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field
  • At least five years of responsible child care planning and support experience with an educational agency that provides early childcare and educational services.
  • Experience managing and coordinating complex projects and supervisory experience of a daycare, preschool or early learning center
  • Experience in teaching and learning in a preschool or day care setting
  • Demonstrated administrative skills and leadership ability
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in oral and written form
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO:     Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services

SUPERVISES and EVALUATES:   Employee Daycare Staff


  1. Coordinate correspondence, meetings with parents/employees, staff and district office
  2. To assist in the development and implementation of procedures for the   processing and maintenance of records and reports.
  3. To communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  4. To assist in scheduling and conducting interviews with qualified candidates for job openings.
  5. To assist in conducting investigations related to personnel issues as needed.
  6. To assist in managing budgets and adhere to legal requirements in regards to a licensed daycare
  7. To meet schedules and timelines
  8. To lead and assist with the daily operations of an employee daycare.
  9. To perform such other work-related tasks as may be assigned.

                           TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:           Employment year is twelve months. Classified Salary Schedule B-24 Salary and fringe benefits as approved by the Governing Board.

  4. A current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card or proof of application for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
